There are times in L.I.F.E.™ that you may become so steadfast on something working that you may be in denial of the sinking ship. You’ve done everything you know possible to save the situation and the people in it, including becoming the sacrificial lamb. However, the mental trap of guilt, shame and blame will keep you engaged in the problem as you go down with the sinking ship of a dysfunctional situation.
You are not governed by Maritime practices or Victorian chivalry that dictates you must go down with the ship at all cost. You are governed by Divine Law that sets a precedent for you to live a fruitful and abundant experience. By going down with the sinking ships of bad experiences and dysfunctional circumstances you are setting yourself up to become a victim in a drowning cycle of events.
You are not here to drown in problems, yours or anyone else’s for that matter. Problems and issues crop up in your experience to help you chart a new course. They may be painful negative experiences, but they are the necessary lessons that bring you forward into a new realization of your own POWER. You are not here to go down with the ship of problems and negative people. You are only on those ships to gain passage to the harbor of realization.
Your ships are your experiences, your career, your relationships, your family etc… If the ship you are on is sinking, you can’t stop it and you don’t have to choose to go down with it either. Do not feel guilty or shameful about taking the necessary measures to save your own L.I.F.E.™ by abandoning ship. Your L.I.F.E.™ is about you. It is about you living for you, and finding and discovering L.I.F.E.™ through you. All else will come into your experience from this self-discovery. So who told you to sacrifice yourself and go down with the ship anyway? Spirit never did.
You cannot suffer enough to force any type of change in other people or circumstances. Other people and circumstances do not change because of your suffering. The only changes you have control over are the ones you make within. When you change, the tides and the winds of your own L.I.F.E.™ change, and you will find yourself aboard ships that sail smoothly to the harbors of realization.
When you see the ships of your experiences sinking, and find that there is no hope for the situation or circumstance, then it is time for you to abandon ship. Get up and JUMP OFF! There is no chivalry in going down with a sinking ship of dysfunctional circumstances. At some point when things do not seem to be working out in a certain experience, you have to literally stop fighting to save it and jump in the ocean and start swimming. Spirit expects you to save yourself.
Sit still and take inventory of all the sinking ships in your experience. They are the dysfunctional situations and circumstances that you know are going nowhere. They can be as simple as an old car you keep trying to repair, or as complex as your job, career and relationships. Find all the sinking ships in your experience and stop fighting to keep them afloat. The ship is sinking and you can’t stop it, and there is no requirement that you go down with it either. You are here to live L.I.F.E.™, and to live it more abundantly.
You will never have an abundant experience if you die going down with the ship. Let the ship sink! You can’t stop it from going down, but you do not have to allow yourself to drown. Spirit is prepared to give you a new ship, but you have to be alive to man it.
